First, let me say that my posting about my issues with OTC had nothing to do with Infinitely Sweet.

As a result of my posting about OTC, I have received emails regarding the buying practices of Infinitely Sweet.

We all know that when in a group that is moderated, one’s comments, thoughts, and opinions can be deleted on the whim of the owner/moderator.

In all fairness, I now open the blog for Infinitely Sweet group members to voice opinions and concerns.

For the record, the comments on this blog are set to “moderation” and I do approve comments related to the subject. I have to keep it on moderation because of the “spam” posts.

Yikes… where did the post go???

Anita of “Our Tina’s Closet” and I have been speaking via email discussing ways to improve the way group buys are conducted regarding being upfront with fees and making sure that the one who is doing the buy is compensated for their time.

We have “agreed to disagree” on a few points.

While I do not condone the actions of a particular mod, and the lack of “complete” information, I have decided to let this  particular issue rest.  Anita will be addressing the issue on her end.

I am putting the issue to rest because the mod is pregnant, and having a rough time of it.  I myself have had 6 high risk pregnancies in a 5.5 year time span. 2 of those pregnancies resulted in miscarriage.

So, needless to say, my heart and prayers go out to Loretta for a safe and full term pregnancy.

Because I do not want to be the cause of additional stress, all comments on this thread will be deleted.

Here is a design I made up a while back and I am now sharing it with all of you.

You will need the following:

An empty wipes container or a sturdy shoe box
5 BBQ skewers or very thin dowels
glue of choice
ruler and a marker

Most the bows I make are about 4 inch x 3 inch, so I will use that as the guide.
Please substitute your own measurements.

Turn box flatside up. Draw a rectangle the height and width of our bow measurements.
In each corner, poke a tiny hole and place the scewers or the dowel.
Add a dab of glue.
Find the center by making an X from corner to corner.
Poke hole and put in skewer or dowel.
Do NOT glue the center hole as you will want to be able to remove center piece.

Now you have a template for making even looped bows.
After you have your bow in place, you removed the center piece and use a “sally clip” to hold while you tie off.

Here are my really pathetic drawings. Click on the thumbnail for a full size picture.

I am sure it will be clear as mud. :)

I am almost done with the tutorial for a “robeez” type soft shoe.

The pattern I designed is a Mary Jane pattern and oh so cute!

I was originally planning on selling the pattern, but decided to give it away free here on my blog.

It should be up in a day or so.

Have a great weekend everyone!

First, when I first started blogging about Glenna and her poor business practices, I honestly had NO idea of the severity of the situation.

Glenna hosted a soft shoe buy, similar to the “Robeez”. I believe the price quoted was $8.00 a pair. Glenna had a contact in China who could manufacturer them for such a low cost. Sounds like a great deal actually, as I can’t make them for under $10.00 using high quality soft leather. Had I been in that group (which I was not), I would have jumped on that bandwagon without hesitation.

Orders were placed, Glenna was sent funds by the participants via PayPal AND paid the PayPal fees.

Time goes by… no shoes.

In various email correspondence to people personally involved she states that the contact in China is no longer communicating, the product isn’t coming , the money is lost. We all lost the money.

Money was wired to China via Western Union or something similar… supposedly.

I could be wrong.. but my understanding is that the total order was around $6,000 give or take.

Some were refunded, but from what I have been privately emailed by former participants of the buy gone bad, there are many who have NOT been refunded.

Glenna has been unable or unwilling to provide the members of that buy with a Buyers Order and a corresponding Payment Receipt to China.

Glenna, if you really were screwed over by your China contact.. why not prove to everyone that you have a Buyers Order and you made the payment for the full amount of the Buyers Order?

That would prove you aren’t lying about the situation, and that you too were a victim.

So Glenna… where is your proof that you had a Buyers Order and a Payment Reciept?

If you can’t show that proof.. that leaves us to only one conclusion.

1) The order was never made

2) The only person paid here was YOU!

Show me the Money!

Honesty and Integrity do not just apply to online sellers, but to fellow loopies who participate in Bow Swaps.
I have watched fellow loopies get so excited about swapping bows with thier partners.
Extra care and love go into each bow, hoping that the bow will be loved by the reciever.

Shortly after deadline day, I have read posts praising the bow maker and sharing pictures of the swapped bow.
Seriously.. you would think it was Christmas and Santa just came down your chimney.

There were a few ladies whose partners stopped all communication and never sent bows.
How sad is that?

I personally have not participated in any swaps because of time constraints.
I had my 4th baby 3.5 months ago and I moved last month.

I KNEW I could not commit my time to participate.

If something came up and you couldn’t participate, how hard is it to email your partner?
We have kids, we understand that life throws curve balls all the time.

There is no excuse for shutting off all communication.
It truly is a real slap in the face.

There are Dead Beat Bow Swappers in every Yahoo group , message board, and forum.

You all can’t hide anymore if you are outed here at Rosie’s Ribbons.

If you are going to “out” a Dead Beat Bow Swapper, I have 2 rules:

1) First name and last initial ONLY.
2) Yahoo or Forum ID

You may leave an email address for someone to contact you for more information about your DBS. (I got tired of typing it over and over)

Wow.

My inbox is full of emails from blog readers who have been taken by other sellers. Some of these sellers are fellow “loopies” in various Yahoo groups, message boards, etc. That really gets me agitated. We moms need to be sticking together and helping each other out, not taking the money and not delivering the product.

Share your experiences and email exchanges with the sellers who owe you a refund or product.

I have but 2 rules.

1) You MUST have the email in whole. No copy and pasting of relevant parts.

Accusations must be presented with hard evidence.

2) If and when a Resolution has been achieved, post it.

It’s time to praise all the good online stores that sell bow making & craft supplies.

One of most favorite is Bow Buddies.

Seriously, the bow centers are absolutely awesome and priced almost at wholesale pricing. No minimum order. You don’t have to spend $50 just to get an totally cool bow center at an affordable price.

I wish I had that talent, or even the patience to attempt to create something that small and detailed.

Simply*Sassy*Kids on eBay has really awesome ribbon and bulk supplies. Good prices and 100% Customer Satisfaction.

There are so many really good sellers on eBay, ETSY, and personal websites.

Have you had a great experience with a Seller? Are you a Seller with a great reputation? If so, let us know! Leave a link or small button to your store.
